Attack and HP carry most of Dracozolt's stat budget. Sp. Def's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
In ancient times, it was unbeatable thanks to its powerful lower body, but it went extinct anyway after it depleted all its plant-based food sources.
The powerful muscles in its tail generate its electricity. Compared to its lower body, its upper half is entirely too small.
Dracozolt is weak to Ice, Ground, Dragon, and Fairy. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Volt Absorb grants an additional Electric immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.

How to Evolve
Breeding
Dracozolt runs a standard physical attacker set. Adamant nature with max Attack and Speed EVs shapes the build, while Life Orb brings extra damage on every hit for a health trade. Sandrush supports the kit from the background.

Moves
TMs carry this one. Dracozolt learns Outrage and Thunder naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Normal and Flying and beyond give it real matchup play.

Sand Rush changes the entire equation for Dracozolt. The 505 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker.
Sand Rush is what you want on Dracozolt. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Volt Absorb, Hustle) work on paper but Sand Rush is what makes Dracozolt worth using.
Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Dracozolt is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
Sand Rush is the hidden ability. It doubles Speed during a sandstorm. Worth hunting for if you want Dracozolt to compete at a higher level.
Dracozolt joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 1 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
