Chimchar sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Infernape as fast as possible. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets. Been around since Gen 4.
Chimchar's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 Speed EV, 1.06M XP medium-slow curve to max.
It is very agile. Before going to sleep, it extinguishes the flame on its tail to prevent fires.
Chimchar Weakness
AvgType-wise, Chimchar takes extra damage from Water, Ground, and Rock. It resists 5 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. 3 weaknesses is about average, nothing too hard to play around.

Chimchar is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Monferno first, then eventually reaches Infernape. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via two egg groups. Evolving adds up to 225 stat points total.
