Almost nobody uses Bidoof in battle. It exists to evolve into Bibarel, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Plump Mouse Pokemon. Been around since Gen 4.
Bidoof's spread isn't flashy. HP leads, Speed trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Easy to catch and worth 1 HP EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Bidoof has an unsophisticated face and is rarely flustered by anything. There have been incidents involving Bidoof sauntering into villages and gnawing on the houses without a single care.
Bidoof Weakness
GoodBidoof's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
Bidoof evolves into Bibarel. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are quick to hatch. The evolved forms gain up to 160 total stats over Bidoof.
How to Evolve
Breed Bidoof easily from the Ground and Water1 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Aqua Tail, Defense Curl, Double-Edge and 9 more to offspring.

Breadth over depth defines this movepool. Bidoof won't stack one type's damage ceiling, but coverage across 11 types means it always has an effective option. Skull Bash and Double-Edge anchor the STAB core.

Bidoof isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Bibarel to unlock its full potential. At 250 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Lucario (Fighting) when using Bidoof. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 31 Speed, Bidoof won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Bidoof evolves into Bibarel at level 15. Bidoof is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Run Unaware on Bidoof. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Bidoof also gets Simple and Moody, but they don't compare.
Bidoof fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 45 Attack). Base 31 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Bidoof appears in 11 games, including Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver, and Diamond & Pearl.
Bidoof first appeared in Diamond & Pearl and has been available in 11 games across 6 generations. Obtainable through catching or hatching as a base form in most titles where it appears.
