BERRY FOREST MAP
Circular path that loops back to the entrance no matter which way you turn. The trail winds through tall grass, but you can't get permanently lost. Just keep walking.

Psychic-types run the grass here. Exeggcute, Hypno, and Drowzee all show up in the mid-30s range. Golduck surfaces at 5% while surfing. Fishing pulls the standard Magikarp-to-Gyarados rod lineup.

Berry bushes line the paths with over a dozen hidden berries in the grass. Max Elixir, Max Ether, and Full Heal are the non-berry finds that stand out.

Berry Forest Guide
A girl named Lostelle went missing in Berry Forest. You find her deep inside being menaced by a Hypno. Beat or catch the Hypno (level 30) and she'll follow you out. Return her to her dad on Two Island to unlock the Move Tutor who teaches your starter its ultimate move on Cape Brink.
It has 16 species across walking and Surfing combined. Walking turns up Venomoth, Exeggcute, and Hypno at 5% each. Surf the pond for Golduck and Psyduck. The forest is also the only wild source of Drowzee on the Sevii Islands. If you need Grass or Psychic-types for your team, check here.
Islands One through Three unlock after you beat Blaine on Cinnabar Island. Bill takes you there as part of the story. Islands Four through Seven require beating the Elite Four first, then completing Celio's Ruby and Sapphire quest on One Island to get the Rainbow Pass.
You can physically reach all seven islands without it, but evolved Johto Pokemon only show up in the wild after you get the National Dex. That means 60 or more Pokedex entries plus completing Celio's quest. If you're only seeing Kanto species, that's why.
