Yungoos doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Gumshoos, and getting there is worth the grind. Known as the Loitering Pokemon. Part of the Gen 7 roster.
Nothing fancy in Yungoos's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 1 Attack EV per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its stomach takes up most of its long torso. It’s a big eater, so the amount Trainers have to spend on its food is no laughing matter.
Although it will eat anything, it prefers fresh living things, so it marches down streets in search of prey.
Yungoos Weakness
GoodType-wise, Yungoos takes extra damage from Fighting. Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Yungoos's Normal typing only leaves 1 gap to cover.
Yungoos is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Gumshoos. Check the evolution method below. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are quick to hatch. Evolving adds up to 165 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Yungoos easily from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Last Resort and 2 more to offspring.

Breeding's the move. Fire Fang and Ice Fang give Yungoos options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 9 types already covers a decent range on top of Last Resort and Thrash. The egg moves push it further.

Yungoos's biggest threats include Conkeldurr (Fighting), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Yungoos evolves into Gumshoos at level 20. Yungoos is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Yungoos gets Adaptability, Stakeout, and Strong Jaw. But Adaptability is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Yungoos is a physical attacker with base 70 Attack. Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 45 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Yungoos can be found in Scarlet & Violet, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Since Sun & Moon, Yungoos has been obtainable in 3 games. A Generation 7 debut means a shorter history, but Yungoos has appeared steadily across every generation since.
