Wiglett doesn't have much going for it on its own — the stats just aren't there. The payoff is Wugtrio, and getting there is worth the grind. One of the newer additions from Gen 9. Only weak to Electric and Grass.
Wiglett's all-in on Speed at the expense of HP. The mixed lean is obvious from the bars. Yields 1 Speed EV and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This Pokémon can pick up the scent of a Veluza just over 65 feet away and will hide itself in the sand.
Though it looks like Diglett, Wiglett is an entirely different species. The resemblance seems to be a coincidental result of environmental adaptation.
Wiglett Weakness
GoodWiglett is weak to Electric and Grass-type moves. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Only 2 weaknesses makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
Wiglett evolves into Wugtrio. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. A small partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 180 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Wiglett easily with 13 breeding partners from the Water3 egg group. Pass egg moves like Final Gambit, Memento to offspring.
Wiglett runs a standard physical attacker set. Jolly nature with a spread EV build EVs shapes the build, while Damprock brings extra utility. Gooey supports the kit from the background.

Gooey is the go-to ability for Wiglett. It lowers attacking Pokémon's Speed by one stage on contact. Its hidden ability Sand Veil can work in specific setups. Rattled is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Wiglett fills the pivot role. It's a physical attacker with base 55 Attack. Base 95 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Wiglett can be found in Scarlet & Violet.
Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Wiglett has appeared in 1 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
