Mid-stage Pokemon like Weedle rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Beedrill, which is where the real potential kicks in. Only weak to Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Rock. Known as the Hairy Bug Pokemon.
Speed and HP carry most of Weedle's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Easy to catch and yields 1 Speed EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Weedle has an extremely acute sense of smell. It is capable of distinguishing its favorite kinds of leaves from those it dislikes just by sniffing with its big red proboscis (nose).
