Electric and Ghost moves don't affect Ursaluna at all — that's the advantage of Ground/Normal typing. It relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up. Introduced in Gen 8. Known as the Peat Pokemon.

Raw Attack carries Ursaluna's bulk more than the defenses do. Sp. Atk barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A very hard to catch Peat Pokemon that yields 3 Attack EVs on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

I believe it was Hisui’s swampy terrain that gave Ursaluna its burly physique and newfound capacity to manipulate peat at will.

Ursaluna Weakness

Avg

Water, Grass, Ice, and Fighting-type moves hit Ursaluna for super-effective damage. The upside? Electric and Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Ursaluna's physical bulk (base 105 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Getting Ursaluna requires an evolution item, not just grinding levels. The chain starts at Teddiursa. Breed this form to get Teddiursa eggs (average hatch time). HP grew the most through evolution (+70 over Teddiursa), and Ursaluna peaks at 550 total stats.

STAB options run deep here. Ursaluna doesn't have to settle for one Ground and Normal attack when there's a whole lineup. Giga Impact and Hyper Beam are the headliners, with coverage across 8 types backing them up.

You're catching Teddiursa first, not Ursaluna. Teddiursa appears at decent rates in the encounters below. The step cards map the full 3-stage chain with evolution methods between each stage.

How to Obtain Ursaluna in Legends: Arceus

Teddiursa is your first catch on the way to Ursaluna. You'll find walking encounters from walking across 4 total spots in the chain.

    Step 3Ursaluna
  • We rate Ursaluna C-Tier — a situational pick that fills a niche. At 550 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Base 140 Attack stands out.

  • Watch for Starmie (Water), Breloom (Grass), and Weavile (Ice) when using Ursaluna. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Fighting-type attackers are also a problem. Ursaluna has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.

  • Ursaring evolves into Ursaluna using a Peat Block. Ursaluna is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Teddiursa. At 550 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Guts increases Attack to 1.5× with a major status ailment — that's the one you want on Ursaluna. Unnerve is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Bulletproof works too if your team needs something different.

  • Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Ursaluna is a physical attacker with base 140 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • Ursaluna can be found in Scarlet & Violet and Legends: Arceus.

Ursaluna joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 2 titles so far. With 2 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
