Treecko sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Sceptile as fast as possible. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind. Known as the Wood Gecko Pokemon.
Treecko's spread isn't flashy. Speed leads, Defense trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 1 Speed EV, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It makes its nest in a giant tree in the forest. It ferociously guards against anything nearing its territory. It is said to be the protector of the forest’s trees.
Treecko Weakness
FragileTreecko is weak to Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug-type moves. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. That's a lot of weak spots to cover so team support is important.

Treecko is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Grovyle first, then eventually reaches Sceptile. For breeding, average hatch time with a decent partner pool via two egg groups. Evolving adds up to 220 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Treecko easily with 27 breeding partners from the Dragon and Monster egg groups. Pass egg moves like Crunch, Crush Claw, Dragon Breath and 3 more to offspring.
Bulk and offense in one package. Treecko runs Leftovers for passive recovery each turn with a Jolly nature, so it survives long enough to threaten with Substitute. Max Sp. Def and Speed EVs and Normal coverage make it hard to safely switch into.

Treecko isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Grovyle to unlock its full potential. At 310 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Treecko evolves into Grovyle at level 16. Treecko is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Overgrow is the go-to ability for Treecko. It strengthens grass moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Unburden can work in specific setups.
