Skrelp is technically a pre-evolution of Dragalge, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Adaptability boosts same-type moves from 1.5x to 2x damage, adding extra value. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
Skrelp's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Speed trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Easy to catch and worth 1 Sp. Def EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It vanishes into seaweed and remains perfectly still to avoid attacks from large Pokémon. Rotten seaweed is its main food source.
It’s not good at swimming, so it clings to the seaweed. In the Alola region, it’s often found near Dhelmise.
Skrelp Weakness
GoodType-wise, Skrelp takes extra damage from Electric, Ground, and Psychic. 8 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.
Skrelp evolves into Dragalge. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 174 stat points total.
