Almost nobody uses Shroomish in battle. It exists to evolve into Breloom, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Been around since Gen 3. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind.
Shroomish's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 HP EV, standard growth curve to max.
It loves to eat damp, composted soil in forests. If you enter a forest after a long rain, you can see many SHROOMISH feasting on composted soil.

- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
Shroomish evolves into Breloom. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. A decent partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are quick to hatch. The evolved forms gain up to 165 total stats over Shroomish.
How to Evolve
Breed Shroomish easily with 27 breeding partners from the Fairy and Plant egg groups. Pass egg moves like Charm, Fake Tears, False Swipe and 2 more to offspring.

Best Locations
Shroomish isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Breloom to unlock its full potential. At 295 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Charizard (Fire), Cloyster (Ice), and Crobat (Poison) when using Shroomish. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 35 Speed, Shroomish won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Shroomish evolves into Breloom at level 23. Shroomish is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Run Poison Heal on Shroomish. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Shroomish also gets Effect Spore and Quick Feet, but they don't compare.
Shroomish fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 40 Sp. Atk. Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
