Psychic moves don't affect Overqwil at all — that's the advantage of Dark/Poison typing. Intimidate lowers the opponent's Attack on switch-in. Known as the Pin Cluster Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 8.
Attack and Defense carry most of Overqwil's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

Overqwil Weakness
ExcellentOverqwil is weak to Ground. On the flip side, it's immune to Psychic-type moves entirely. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Overqwil's physical bulk (base 95 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
Getting Overqwil requires an evolution item, not just grinding levels. The chain starts at Qwilfish. Breed this form to get Qwilfish eggs (average hatch time). HP grew the most through evolution (+20 over Qwilfish), and Overqwil peaks at 510 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Overqwil to get Qwilfish eggs easily from the Water2 egg group.

Intimidate changes the entire equation for Overqwil. The 510 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a wallbreaker.
Overqwil's biggest threats include Excadrill (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Qwilfish evolves into Overqwil using a Barb Barrage 20 Times In Strong Style. Overqwil is the fully evolved form. At 510 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.
Intimidate is what you want on Overqwil. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Poison Point, Swift Swim) work on paper but Intimidate is what makes Overqwil worth using.
Base 85 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Overqwil is a physical attacker with base 115 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
Overqwil can be found in Winds & Waves, Legends: Z-A, Scarlet & Violet, and Legends: Arceus.
Overqwil joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 4 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
