Jirachi has the stats to dominate any format it's allowed in. 100 base HP stands out, and the rest of the spread doesn't have obvious weak points either. Introduced in Gen 3. Known as the Wish Pokemon.
An unusually even spread gives Jirachi flexibility. HP barely edges ahead. But any other stat isn't far off. Near-impossible to catch and follows a slow 1.25M XP grind. Yields 3 HP EVs.
JIRACHI is said to make wishes come true. While it sleeps, a tough crystalline shell envelops the body to protect it from enemies.
Jirachi Weakness
ExcellentFire and Ground-type moves hit Jirachi for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 8 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Jirachi's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
Mythical Pokemon don't breed, and Jirachi is no exception. This Steel/Psychic type sits at 600 stats with no chain to speak of.
How to Evolve
Jirachi's built to absorb hits. Bold nature leans into physical wall duty, Leftovers gives it passive recovery each turn, and Wish handles sustain. Serenegrace and max HP and Defense EVs tie the defensive profile together.

Level-up moves are just the starting point for Jirachi. TMs unlock coverage across 9 types and turn a straightforward STAB kit around Doom Desire and Future Sight into something with actual range.

At 600 BST, Jirachi is built different. We rank it A-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.
Jirachi doesn't evolve. As a Mythical Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Steel/Psychic type with 600 BST.
Serene Grace doubles the chance of moves' extra effects occurring — that's the one you want on Jirachi. It's the only ability Jirachi has.
Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Jirachi is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
Jirachi appears in 15 games, including Ruby & Sapphire, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Emerald.
Jirachi first appeared in Ruby & Sapphire and has been available in 15 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
