Ducklett is technically a pre-evolution of Swanna, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Ground moves can't touch it, and only 2 types hit it super-effectively. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets. Introduced in Gen 5.
An unusually even spread gives Ducklett flexibility. HP barely edges ahead. But Attack isn't far off. Common in the wild and follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve. Yields 1 HP EV.
When attacked, it uses its feathers to splash water, escaping under cover of the spray.
They are better at swimming than flying, and they happily eat their favorite food, peat moss, as they dive underwater.
Ducklett Weakness
ExcellentDucklett is weak to Electric and Rock-type moves. Watch out for Electric attacks, those deal 4x damage. On the flip side, it's immune to Ground-type moves entirely. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
One evolution ahead. Ducklett grows into Swanna through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 168 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Ducklett easily from the Flying and Water1 egg groups. Pass egg moves like Air Cutter, Brine, Gust and 5 more to offspring.
