Tepig sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Emboar as fast as possible. Only weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. Known as the Fire Pig Pokemon.
Tepig's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 HP EV, 1.06M XP medium-slow curve to max.
It can deftly dodge its foe’s attacks while shooting fireballs from its nose. It roasts berries before it eats them.
It loves to eat roasted berries, but sometimes it gets too excited and burns them to a crisp.
Tepig Weakness
AvgType-wise, Tepig takes extra damage from Water, Ground, and Rock. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Thick Fat reduces Fire/Ice damage, further improving the defensive spread.
Tepig is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Pignite first, then eventually reaches Emboar. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via one egg group. Evolving adds up to 220 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Tepig from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Body Slam, Burn Up, Covet and 9 more to offspring.
