Slaking has the stats to dominate any format it's allowed in. 160 base Attack stands out, and the rest of the spread doesn't have obvious weak points either. Known as the Lazy Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 3.
Raw Attack carries Slaking's bulk more than the defenses do. Sp. Def barely registers. But that HP pool covers for it. A tough to catch Lazy Pokemon that yields 3 HP EVs on a slow 1.25M XP grind.
It is the world’s laziest Pokémon. When it is lounging, it is actually saving energy for striking back.
Slaking Weakness
GoodFighting-type moves hit Slaking for super-effective damage. The upside? Ghost-type moves can't touch it at all. Slaking's physical bulk (base 100 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
End of the line. Slaking caps a three-stage chain that started at Slakoth. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are quick to hatch. Attack grew the most through evolution (+100 over Slakoth), and Slaking peaks at 670 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Slaking to get Slakoth eggs easily from the Ground egg group. Notable egg moves include After You, Body Slam, Crush Claw and 6 more.
Ground coverage gives Slaking answers even while choice-locked. Choice Band provides raw power at the cost of move flexibility, and max Attack and Speed EVs with Truant mean every prediction that lands hits hard.

Watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Slaking. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Slaking has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Truant skips every second turn — that's the one you want on Slaking. It's the only ability Slaking has.
