Skiddo is technically a pre-evolution of Gogoat, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Sap Sipper absorbs Grass moves and boosts its Attack, adding extra value. It relies on priority moves or Scarf to keep up.

Skiddo's stats barely vary. 0 sit in respectable range with no real gaps. It's a blank slate for EV investment. Worth 1 HP EV, medium-fast 1M XP curve to max.

Until recently, people living in the mountains would ride on the backs of these Pokémon to traverse the mountain paths.

Scarlet

As long as it has sunlight and water, Skiddo can make energy with the leaves on its body, allowing it to live on rocky mountains barren of food.

Catch in the wild in:

Then trade to Legends: Z-A.

Also found in:

  • Skiddo isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Gogoat to unlock its full potential. At 350 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

  • Skiddo's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), Weavile (Ice), and Crobat (Poison), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Skiddo evolves into Gogoat at level 32. Skiddo is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Run Sap Sipper on Skiddo. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Skiddo also gets Grass Pelt, but they don't compare.

  • Skiddo fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 62 Sp. Atk. At base 52 Speed, it won't be moving first often.

  • Skiddo appears in 6 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Introduced in X & Y, Skiddo has appeared in 6 games across 4 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
