Mid-stage Pokemon like Scorbunny rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Cinderace, which is where the real potential kicks in. Only weak to Water, Ground, and Rock. Known as the Rabbit Pokemon.
Scorbunny's spread isn't flashy. Attack leads, Defense trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Tough to catch and worth 1 Speed EV, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
A warm-up of running around gets fire energy coursing through this Pokémon’s body. Once that happens, it’s ready to fight at full power.
It has special pads on the backs of its feet, and one on its nose. Once it’s raring to fight, these pads radiate tremendous heat.
Scorbunny Weakness
AvgWater, Ground, and Rock-type moves hit Scorbunny for super-effective damage. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that.
Scorbunny is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Raboot first, then eventually reaches Cinderace. For breeding, average hatch time with a massive partner pool via two egg groups. The evolved forms gain up to 220 total stats over Scorbunny.
How to Evolve
Flare Blitz is the safe click most turns. Choice Scarf locks Scorbunny into it but rewards with speed patching through item lock. Adamant nature and a spread EV build EVs maximize that first hit. Libero helps on the margins.

Without TMs, Scorbunny's movepool is bare bones. With them, you get coverage across 7 types on top of Overheat and Flare Blitz for STAB. The natural kit handles basics, but TMs are doing the real work.

Scorbunny isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Raboot to unlock its full potential. At 310 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Scorbunny evolves into Raboot at level 16. Scorbunny is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Run Libero on Scorbunny. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Scorbunny also gets Blaze, but they don't compare.
Scorbunny fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 71 Attack. At base 69 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Scorbunny can be found in Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield.
Introduced in Sword & Shield, Scorbunny has appeared in 2 games across 2 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
