Mid-stage Pokemon like Pawmi rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Pawmot, which is where the real potential kicks in. One of the newer additions from Gen 9. Only weak to Ground.
Pawmi's spread isn't flashy. Speed leads, Defense trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Speed EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It has underdeveloped electric sacs on its cheeks. These sacs can produce electricity only if Pawmi rubs them furiously with the pads on its forepaws.
The pads of its paws are electricity-discharging organs. Pawmi fires electricity from its forepaws while standing unsteadily on its hind legs.
Pawmi Weakness
GoodGround-type moves hit Pawmi for super-effective damage. Its Electric typing keeps the defensive matchups simple. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
Pawmi is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Pawmo first, then eventually reaches Pawmot. For breeding, quick to hatch with a massive partner pool via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 250 total stats over Pawmi.
How to Evolve
Breed Pawmi easily with 195 breeding partners from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Fake Out, Mach Punch, Sweet Kiss and 1 more to offspring.
The recommended build leans into Pawmi's strengths as a physical attacker. Punchingglove provides extra utility, and a spread EV build EVs back that up. Static rounds out the package.

Recommended Teammates
Don't skip the egg moves. Pawmi picks up Fake Out and Mach Punch only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Thunder and Wild Charge while Normal and Ground coverage and more adds range.

Pawmi isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Pawmo to unlock its full potential. At 240 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Garchomp (Ground) when using Pawmi. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Pawmi evolves into Pawmo at level 18. Pawmi is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Run Natural Cure on Pawmi. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Pawmi also gets Static and Iron Fist, but they don't compare.
Pawmi fills the balanced role. It's a mixed attacker — base 50 Attack and 40 Sp. Atk. At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Pawmi can be found in Scarlet & Violet.
Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Pawmi has appeared in 1 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
