Mid-stage Pokemon like Naclstack rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Garganacl, which is where the real potential kicks in. 5 type weaknesses to keep in mind. Known as the Rock Salt Pokemon.
Naclstack's spread favors physical bulk over offense. Defense leads the defensive side, Sp. Atk eats the cost. Yields 2 Defense EVs per defeat. 1.06M XP medium-slow curve to level.
This Pokémon dry cures its prey by spraying salt over them. The curing process steals away the water in the prey’s body.
It compresses rock salt inside its body and shoots out hardened salt pellets with enough force to perforate an iron sheet.
Naclstack Weakness
FragileWater, Grass, Fighting, Ground, and Steel-type moves hit Naclstack for super-effective damage. It resists 4 types, giving it decent defensive coverage. Naclstack's physical bulk (base 100 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
Naclstack is the middle stage between Nacli and Garganacl. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, average hatch time with no compatible partners via one egg group. So far, Sp.Def got the biggest boost (+30 from Nacli). The final form adds another 145 stats on top.
How to Evolve
Breed with Naclstack to get Nacli eggs easily from the Mineral egg group.
Lead with Naclstack, set Stealth Rock, and keep pressure on. Purifyingsalt and Eviolite buy the time it needs, with max HP and Sp. Def EVs letting it take hits while controlling the hazard game. Recover keeps it healthy between hits.

Then trade to Legends: Z-A to continue the evolution chain.
Step 2Naclstack ✓
Naclstack isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Garganacl to unlock its full potential. At 355 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Milotic (Water), Kartana (Grass), and Urshifu (Fighting) when using Naclstack. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ground and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 35 Speed, Naclstack won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Purifying Salt protects from status conditions and halves damage from Ghost-type moves — that's the one you want on Naclstack. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Sturdy works too if your team needs something different.
Naclstack fills the balanced role. It's leaning toward the physical side (base 60 Attack). Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Naclstack can be found in Legends: Z-A and Scarlet & Violet.
Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Naclstack has appeared in 2 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
