Golett is technically a pre-evolution of Golurk, but it holds its own in formats where Eviolite is allowed. Normal, Electric, and Fighting moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Automaton Pokemon.
Attack and HP carry most of Golett's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Attack EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
The energy that burns inside it enables it to move, but no one has yet been able to identify this energy.
Ancient science fashioned this Pokémon from clay. It’s been active for thousands of years.
Golett Weakness
GoodType-wise, Golett takes extra damage from Water, Grass, Ice, Ghost, and Dark. Normal, Electric, and Fighting moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity.
One evolution ahead. Golett grows into Golurk through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 180 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Golett (with patience) from the Mineral egg group.

TMs carry this one. Golett learns Earthquake and Shadow Ball naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Normal and Rock and beyond give it real matchup play.

Golett is meant to evolve into Golurk. At 303 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Golett's biggest threats include Swampert (Water), Roserade (Grass), and Kyurem (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 35 Speed, Golett won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Golett evolves into Golurk at level 43. Golett is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Iron Fist is the go-to ability for Golett. It strengthens punch-based moves to 1.2× their power. Its hidden ability No Guard can work in specific setups. Klutz is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Golett is a physical attacker with base 74 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Golett appears in 9 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Golett joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 9 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
