The air stored inside the rachises of Decidueye's feathers insulates the Pokémon against Hisui's extreme cold. This is firm proof that evolution can be influenced by environment.

Legends: Arceus

For a physical attacker, Decidueye wants max HP and Attack EVs and Decidiumz. The Adamant nature tilts toward physical duty, and Overgrow contributes without taking a move slot.

Moves

Leveling does the heavy lifting. Decidueye picks up Leaf Blade and Triple Arrows along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Flying and Normal coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

  • For Legends: Arceus, we rate Decidueye C-Tier: a niche pick in Legends: Arceus's meta. At 530 BST, it fits the attacker role. Spiritshackle with Decidiumz is the standard set.

  • In Legends: Arceus, Decidueye's biggest threats include Braviary (Flying), Volcarona (Fire), and Lapras (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Braviary is the most dangerous since Flying moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Psychic, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Overgrow is the go-to ability for Decidueye. It strengthens grass moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Scrappy can work in specific setups.

  • At base 60 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Decidueye is a mixed attacker with base 112 Attack and 95 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.

  • In Legends: Arceus, the best way to handle Decidueye: Faster attackers outpace it. Anything with a super-effective STAB move and decent speed can revenge kill.

Since debuting in Sun & Moon, Decidueye has appeared in 5 titles over 4 generations. Along the way, it received a Hisuian form in Generation 8, keeping it relevant across different competitive metas.
