Stats & Training
Speed and Attack carry most of Crobat's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 3 Speed EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Over the course of evolution, its hind legs turned into wings. By alternately resting its front and rear wings, it can fly all day without having to stop.
Crobat Weakness
Electric, Ice, Psychic, and Rock moves hit Crobat for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Psychic, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Fighting, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground |
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
In Emerald, Starmie's Ice Beam hits Crobat for 63-75%. Claydol's Explosion hits Crobat for 75-88%. Magneton's Thunderbolt also KOs at 118-139%.

Moves
Don't skip the egg moves. Crobat picks up Curse and Feint Attack only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Fly and Sludge Bomb while Ghost and Bug coverage and more adds range.

Crobat Guide
For Emerald, we rate Crobat C-Tier: a niche pick in Emerald's meta. At 535 BST, it fits the pivot role. Sludge Bomb with Choice Band is the standard set.
Inner Focus prevents flinching. That's the one you want on Crobat. Infiltrator is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 130 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Crobat is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
For Emerald, Crobat has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric, Ice, and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Available in 18 titles since its debut in Gold & Silver, Crobat spans 9 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in most mainline games.
