Almost nobody uses Bunnelby in battle. It exists to evolve into Diggersby, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Digging Pokemon. Part of the Gen 6 roster.

You won't find a real weakness in Bunnelby's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Digging Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 1 Speed EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

It excels at digging holes. Using its ears, it can dig a nest 33 feet deep in one night.

Sword

It’s very sensitive to danger. The sound of Corviknight’s flapping will have Bunnelby digging a hole to hide underground in moments.

Bunnelby Weakness

Good

Bunnelby's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Bunnelby's Normal typing only leaves 1 gap to cover.

STAB runs through Last Resort and Take Down for the basics, but Bunnelby's real strength is the 11-type coverage spread. Ground and Fighting hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

No wild encounters for Bunnelby in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. It's available in X or Sword and can be transferred over. The details below show where to find it.

Bunnelby is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • At 237 BST, Bunnelby is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Diggersby before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • Watch for Conkeldurr (Fighting) when using Bunnelby. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.

  • Bunnelby evolves into Diggersby at level 20. Bunnelby is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Bunnelby gets Huge Power, Pickup, and Cheek Pouch. But Huge Power is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.

  • Bunnelby is a physical attacker with base 36 Attack. Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — at base 57 Speed, it won't be moving first often.

  • Bunnelby appears in 6 games, including X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Since X & Y, Bunnelby has been obtainable in 6 games. A Generation 6 debut means a shorter history, but Bunnelby has appeared steadily across every generation since.
