Bulk defines Arctovish's stat line. Defense and HP anchor the defensive side, but Speed can't keep up offensively. Tough to catch and worth 2 Defense EVs.
Though it’s able to capture prey by freezing its surroundings, it has trouble eating the prey afterward because its mouth is on top of its head.
The skin on its face is impervious to attack, but breathing difficulties made this Pokémon go extinct anyway.
Arctovish's Water/Ice typing leaves it vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Fighting, and Rock. Water Absorb grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Arctovish's overall bulk (90/100/90) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Slush Rush changes the entire equation for Arctovish. The 505 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier.
Slush Rush is what you want on Arctovish. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Water Absorb, Ice Body) work on paper but Slush Rush is what makes Arctovish worth using.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Arctovish is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits.
Arctovish's hidden ability is Slush Rush. During Hail, this Pokémon has double Speed. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
Arctovish joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 1 titles so far. With 3 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
