Toxel is a baby Pokemon from Gen 8 — it can't hold its own in battle yet. The payoff is Toxtricity, which is where the real competitive value lives. Worth raising if you need one on your team. Watch the Ground matchup though — quadruple damage means one hit can end it.
You won't find a real weakness in Toxel's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Baby Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It stores poison in an internal poison sac and secretes that poison through its skin. If you touch this Pokémon, a tingling sensation follows.
It manipulates the chemical makeup of its poison to produce electricity. The voltage is weak, but it can cause a tingling paralysis.
Toxel Weakness
GoodToxel is weak to Ground and Psychic-type moves. Watch out for Ground attacks, those deal 4x damage. It resists 8 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
Toxel starts the chain as a baby form and evolves into Toxtricity at level 30. To get more eggs, breed the evolved versions. Evolving adds up to 260 stat points total.

Breeding opens up real options for Toxel. Endeavor and Metal Sound come exclusively from egg moves, and they're worth the effort. The rest of the kit covers basics through Belch and Acid and Normal and Fighting coverage.

Best Locations
Toxel's encounter pool splits between Shield and Sword. You've got 38 walking spots at Lv. 26-40 total, but your version determines which ones actually show up.
At 242 BST, Toxel is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Toxtricity before bringing it to any serious fight.
Toxel's biggest threats include Swampert (Ground) and Espeon (Psychic), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Swampert is the most dangerous since Ground moves deal 4x damage. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 40 Speed, Toxel won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Toxel evolves into Toxtricity at level 30. Toxel is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Rattled is the go-to ability for Toxel. It raises Speed one stage upon being hit by a dark, ghost, or bug move. Its hidden ability Klutz can work in specific setups. Static is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Toxel is leaning toward the special side (base 54 Sp. Atk). Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Toxel can be found in Legends: Z-A, Scarlet & Violet, and Sword & Shield.
Since Sword & Shield, Toxel has been obtainable in 3 games. A Generation 8 debut means a shorter history, but Toxel has appeared steadily across every generation since.
