Rattata Weakness
Rattata's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Just 1 weak spot to worry about, which keeps teambuilding straightforward.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fighting |
| 0x (Immune) | Ghost |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)
In Black & White, Conkeldurr can KO Rattata with Drain Punch (315-372%).

Black & White Rattata Best Moveset
One guaranteed turn is all Rattata needs. Focus Sash buys it, spread EVs make it count, and Guts adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Endeavor. The remaining moves gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

STAB runs through Last Resort and Double-Edge for the basics, but Rattata's real strength is the 10-type coverage spread. Dark and Ice hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.
