Darumaka sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Darmanitan as fast as possible. Known as the Zen Charm Pokemon. Built to hit on the physical side.
Nothing fancy in Darumaka's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 1 Attack EV per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It lived in snowy areas for so long that its fire sac cooled off and atrophied. It now has an organ that generates cold instead.
The colder they get, the more energetic they are. They freeze their breath to make snowballs, using them as ammo for playful snowball fights.
Darumaka Weakness
AvgType-wise, Darumaka takes extra damage from Water, Ground, and Rock. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely.
Darumaka is the base form in a two-stage line leading to Darmanitan. Check the evolution method below. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. Evolving adds up to 165 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Darumaka easily from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Encore, Endure, Flame Wheel and 7 more to offspring.

The egg pool carries weight here. Encore and Endure aren't available any other way for Darumaka, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Overheat and Flare Blitz for solid options.

At 315 BST, Darumaka is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Darmanitan before bringing it to any serious fight.
Darumaka's biggest threats include Swampert (Water), Garchomp (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Rock), all carrying super-effective STAB moves.
Darumaka can evolve into Darmanitan and Galarian Darmanitan depending on the method. Darumaka is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.
Hustle is the go-to ability for Darumaka. It strengthens physical moves to inflict 1.5× damage, but decreases their accuracy to 0.8×. Its hidden ability Inner Focus can work in specific setups.
Darumaka is a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Fragile — can't afford to take many hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Darumaka appears in 7 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Available since Black & White, Darumaka appears in 7 games spanning 5 generations. Beyond its original form, it gained a Galarian form in Generation 8.
