Bagon Weakness

Bagon's Dragon typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice and Dragon. The Dragon typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Bagon's physical bulk (base 60 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Moves

STAB runs through Draco Meteor and Outrage for the basics, but Bagon's real strength is the 11-type coverage spread. Normal and Dark hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

  • Level 30 gets you Shelgon. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • In HeartGold & SoulSilver, For a casual playthrough, Bagon works as a placeholder. Dragon coverage is useful early. The real payoff is Shelgon. That's where the stats start mattering.
