How to Unlock Tinkmaster#

  1. Complete all three earlier regions to unlock Sparkling Skylands.
  2. Learn the Glide ability from Dragonite.
  3. Glide to the separate island and climb the tall tower.
  4. Bring 6 Concrete and 1 Iron Ingot to complete Tinkmaster's initial request.

About Tinkmaster#

A Pokopia-exclusive Tinkaton form with a different hammer and hairstyle from the standard version. Her hammer is an all-purpose engineering tool, not the scrap-metal bludgeon regular Tinkaton carries. She lives at the top of a tall tower on a separate island in Sparkling Skylands, and you'll need the Glide ability (from Dragonite) to reach her. She's the only Pokemon who can convert iron ingots into Tinkgears — the material you need for every major late-game building project.

Services#

Handles three things. First, she leads massive construction projects that regular Build-specialty Pokemon cannot manage. Second, she speeds up standard building tasks when she is nearby. Third — and this is the big one — she converts Iron Ingots into Tinkagear at a rate of 1 ingot per 3 gears. Tinkagear goes into late-game recipes like the Lift platform (5 Concrete + 1 Tinkagear + 5 Iron Ingots). Nobody else makes Tinkagear. Stock up on iron.

Engineer Specialty#

Tinkmaster gives 1 quest throughout the game.

  • Sparkling Skylands, on a separate island. Use Glide (learned from Dragonite) to fly there, then climb the tall tower. She's waiting at the top. Sparkling Skylands is the final major area, so you'll unlock it after completing the other three regions.

  • A crafting material made exclusively by Tinkmaster. She converts 1 Iron Ingot into 3 Tinkagear. They're required for late-game structures like the Lift platform (5 Concrete + 1 Tinkagear + 5 Iron Ingots). Start stockpiling iron ore early if you want to avoid bottlenecks later.

  • The Sparkling Skylands Important Request requires 10 Iron Ingots, 10 Glass, 5 Poke Ingots, and 25 Concrete. It's a multi-floor build. Talk to Tinkmaster after each floor to start the next one. Near the top, you'll hear a sound. Climb up and you'll trigger the Mewtwo encounter. Mewtwo answers questions about what happened to humanity, then leaves.

  • Three functions. Tinkmaster can lead building projects too big for regular Build Pokemon. She speeds up normal construction when she's in the area. And she's the only one who converts Iron Ingots into Tinkagears, the key late-game crafting material.
