Ho-Oh follows the same bell pattern as Lugia but requires befriending the three legendary beasts instead of the birds. It's the longest legendary chain in the game because the beasts themselves need Dream Island visits.
- Befriend all three legendary beasts: Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Each requires a Dream Island doll. Note: Raikou's story encounter at Bleak Beach alone doesn't count. You have to befriend it on the Dream Island.
- Completing the beast trio unlocks the Clear Bell crafting recipe.
- Collect Rainbow Feathers. Ho-Oh drops these as it flies overhead. The feathers land on fire. Use Water Gun to extinguish the flames before picking them up.
- Gather Rare Pokemetal (see materials table below).
- Craft the Clear Bell.
- Place the bell at a high, open location. Ring it when Ho-Oh flies overhead to summon it.
