Habitats are how you attract wild Pokemon to your island in Pokopia. Each one works like a small puzzle. Place the right items in the right arrangement, and a Pokemon shows up after a short wait. Some are dead simple — four tiles of tall grass pulls in Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Others need specific terrain or crafted furniture before anything appears.

  • You place specific items or terrain tiles in a particular arrangement, and after a short wait, a wild Pokemon shows up and joins your island. The Grass habitat, for example, just needs four adjacent tall grass tiles. More complex ones like Training require crafted items positioned together.

  • Grass is the simplest. Four tiles of tall grass placed next to each other, and you're done. Your Ditto can learn Leafage early on, which lets you grow tall grass anywhere. It also attracts three Pokemon at once, making it a solid first habitat.

  • Some do. Cave habitats require mossy grass placed inside a cave area. Fishing needs a rod and chair next to a body of water. Most habitats work on regular open ground, but a few have terrain requirements that limit where you can build them.

  • Yes, a few of them can. Grass brings in Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Floral attracts Pidgey, Eevee, and Combee. Rocky gets both Machop and Timburr. Most habitat types only attract a single Pokemon, though.

  • Not yet. Some habitat types on this page are still marked as incomplete while the community works out the full details. We're updating requirements and attracted Pokemon as new information comes in.
