Pokopia has 23 key items, and each one opens up a new gameplay mechanic. The Dowsing Machine lets you hunt for buried relics. Packing Tips books give your bag more room. The Substitute Doll can send you to Dream Islands. You can't craft these or find extras. One copy, one purpose.

Every key item in Pokopia with its description, where to find it, and what it costs. If there's a Life Coins price listed, you can buy it at the PC Shop.

Four key items tie directly into exploration: finding hidden treasures, visiting Dream Islands, unlocking mysterious areas, and peeking at Cloud Islands.

Dowsing Machine#

Partner up with a Pokemon that has a searching specialty and use the Dowsing Machine to find hidden lost relics buried underground. You pick it up from the golden Pokeball on the hill near Hitmonchan during the tutorial. Pair it with a skilled search partner for the best results.

Substitute Doll#

Set this decoy down and inspect it. If Drifloon shows up, it whisks you away to a Dream Island. These are rare bonus areas with unique materials and Pokemon encounters. You can find Substitute Dolls by digging at shiny dirt spots.

Mysterious Goggles#

These goggles let you peek into another player's Cloud Island. Grab them from the PC Shop for 100 Life Coins. Mostly a multiplayer novelty for checking out how friends built their islands.

Mysterious Slate#

A stone tablet with carved designs and letters on the back. Found by digging at shiny dirt spots. Its purpose ties into the island's deeper lore and may unlock story progression.

Your bag starts with limited capacity. Two Packing Tips books from the PC Shop increase how many items you can carry.
