Raw ore is useless until you smelt it. Iron Ore becomes Iron Ingot, Copper becomes Copper Ingot, Gold becomes Gold Ingot. All at a clean 1:1 ratio. You need a Burn-specialty Pokemon and a Smelting Furnace (which itself requires electricity).
Steps#
- Gather raw ore (Iron Ore, Copper Ore, or Gold Ore) from rocks using the Crush specialty Pokemon.
- Place the raw ore near a campfire or smelting station.
- Lead a Pokemon with the Burn specialty (Charmander, Vulpix, Torchic, etc.) to the station.
- The Burn Pokemon will heat the ore, converting it into refined ingots.
- Iron Ore becomes Iron Ingot, Copper Ore becomes Copper Ingot, Gold Ore becomes Gold Ingot.
Smelted Materials
Smelting converts raw ore into these processed materials at a 1:1 ratio.
Smelted copper for crafting
Smelted gold for crafting
Smelted iron for crafting
Straight 1:1. One Iron Ore becomes one Iron Ingot, one Copper Ore becomes one Copper Ingot, one Gold Ore becomes one Gold Ingot. No material loss during smelting. The bottleneck is the smelting time, not the conversion rate.
The Smelting Furnace needs power to run. Either connect it to a power grid with a Generate Pokemon or place it near a windmill. No power means no smelting, so set up electricity before building the furnace.
Ore deposits spawn in Rocky Ridges and cave areas. Use a Smash-specialty Pokemon to break rock formations, or send a Gather Pokemon to collect loose ore. Iron Ore is the most common. Gold Ore is rare and mostly found in Sparkling Skylands.
