There are five water types in Pokopia: regular Water, Ocean Water, Muddy Water, Hot-Spring Water, and Waterfall. You place and move all of them using Ditto s Wooper form, unlocked through the Piplup questline in Bleak Beach. Each liquid keeps its identity when relocated.
Steps#
- Unlock Ditto's Wooper form by completing the Piplup questline in Bleak Beach.
- Stand near any water source and hold Y to transform into Wooper, then press ZR to absorb the liquid.
- Walk to your destination and press A to release the water tile.
- Each liquid keeps its identity when moved. Ocean Water stays Ocean Water wherever you place it.
- For a Waterfall, carry water to a higher elevation and release it. Gravity creates the waterfall automatically.
- Water Gun is a separate move for watering crops and reviving dry grass. It does not place water tiles.
Water
Found in lakes, rivers, and ponds across all regions. The most common liquid type, used in many habitats.
Ocean Water
Found along the Bleak Beach coastline. Use Wooper form to absorb it and bring it inland to your island.
Muddy Water
Found in Bleak Beach marsh and wetland patches. Needed for Marshy Tall Grass and Marsh Fishing Spot.
Hot-Spring Water
Found inside Rocky Ridges caves. Also created by drinking Roserade Tea from a powered Vending Machine.
Waterfall
Release regular water from a high elevation and gravity creates the waterfall. Needed for Training Waterfall and Waterwheel Spot.
Habitats That Need Water
Switch between water types to see which habitats you can build with each.

Find it naturally inside Rocky Ridges caves and absorb it with Wooper form. You can also drink Roserade Tea from a powered Vending Machine. The spilled liquid counts as Hot-Spring Water that Wooper can absorb and relocate.
Yes. Travel to Bleak Beach coastline, absorb Ocean Water with Wooper form, then walk back to your island and release it. The water keeps its type wherever you place it.
Absorb regular water with Wooper form, carry it to a higher elevation, and release it. Gravity turns the water into a waterfall tile. You need Waterfalls for Training Waterfall and Waterwheel Spot habitats.
Five: regular Water (lakes and ponds), Ocean Water (Bleak Beach coast), Muddy Water (Bleak Beach marsh), Hot-Spring Water (Rocky Ridges caves), and Waterfall (water released from height). Each keeps its identity when moved.
