Cooking runs through Chef Dente, an NPC who teaches recipes and handles the actual preparation. His dishes enhance your moves with special effects. A campfire handles basic recipes early on, but Chef Dente's kitchen is where the good stuff happens.
Steps#
- Find and befriend Chef Dente (an NPC Pokemon with the Eat specialty).
- Talk to Chef Dente to access the cooking menu.
- Select a recipe and provide the required ingredients (berries, crops, etc.).
- Chef Dente will prepare the food for you.
- Eat the prepared food to gain temporary move enhancements or PP recovery.
Chef Dente sets up shop once you reach Bleak Beach. He's an NPC near the shore who teaches you cooking recipes and lets you use his kitchen. The campfire handles basics, but Chef Dente's recipes give much stronger stat buffs.
No. Once you cook a meal, it stays in your inventory until you use it. Stock up on stat-boosting dishes before heading into tough areas. You can carry as many as you want.
Roasted Berries on the campfire. Costs just a couple berries, gives a small PP recovery boost, and you can make them from the first day. Upgrade to Berry Stew once Chef Dente teaches you the recipe.
