Pokopia is the first Pokemon life sim — you play as a Ditto in human form, rebuilding a ruined world into a thriving habitat for wild Pokemon. It's part Animal Crossing, part Dragon Quest Builders, and fully its own thing. Learn moves from the Pokemon you befriend, use those moves to chop trees, light campfires, grow crops, and craft structures. Every Pokemon has a specialty: Charmander lights fires, Machop builds houses, Bellsprout speeds up your garden.
This database covers every Pokemon, move, habitat, item, and crafting recipe in the game. Use the Pokedex to browse the full roster, or check out our crafting and materials guides to plan your builds.

Pokemon Pokopia (known as "Poco a Pokemon" in Japan) is a life simulation spin-off for Nintendo Switch 2. Co-developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo, it launched worldwide on March 5, 2026. You play as a Ditto who mimics a human trainer's form and rebuilds a desolate island into a Pokemon paradise by befriending wild Pokemon, learning their moves, and constructing habitats.
Specialties are job roles that Pokemon perform once you've befriended them. There are seven types: Build (construction), Burn (lighting fires), Chop (processing lumber), Gather (collecting resources), Grow (speeding up crops), Litter (organic cleanup), and Search (finding hidden items with Dowsing Machines). You'll need specific specialties to build houses, progress through areas, and complete requests.
Ditto learns moves by befriending Pokemon and mimicking them through Transform. Moves cost PP (Power Points), which is Ditto's stamina bar. When PP runs out, Ditto gets tired and slows down. You recover PP by eating berries (Leppa Berry works best), visiting a rebuilt Pokemon Center, or eating cooked food from Chef Dente's recipes.
Yes. Pokopia supports up to 4 players through local wireless or online multiplayer. You'll need to rebuild the first Pokemon Center and repair the multiplayer machine before it unlocks. Two players can use GameShare (one copy shared temporarily), but online play requires each player to own the game plus a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
The game runs on a real-time clock synced to your Switch 2 system time. Different Pokemon appear depending on the time of day and current weather conditions. Some habitats and encounters are only available during specific hours, so check back at different times if you're hunting a particular species.
Game director Takuto Edagawa estimates 20-40 hours for the main campaign and around 100 hours for full completion. The game is designed for relaxed, non-rushed play with no fail state. You can take it at whatever pace you want.
