The Withered Wastelands are a collection of grassy areas and caves alongside a coast that make up what used to be Fuchsia City and its surrounding area. Your task here is to get the area to rain, as rain hasn't fallen here for some time. This is the starting area where you learn the basics of building, crafting, and befriending Pokemon.
Requires Environment Level 3 to rebuild.
- Workbench
- Leaf Den
- Rain Dance Site
- Underground Mine
- Abandoned Building (Team Initiation Challenge)
- Castform Weather Charms
Humidity System — raise the area's humidity by using Water Gun on dry grass, Rock Smash on wet rocks to create springs, building Field of Flowers habitats, then use Slowpoke's Yawn to trigger rain and rescue Onix.
Withered Wasteland has two legendary Pokemon: Kyogre and Mew.
- Complete "Find Slowpoke" from Professor Tangrowth and raise the area's humidity.
- Build the Rain Dance Site and trigger a rainstorm with a Water-type Pokemon.
- Head to the fishing docks. Kyogre appears at the broken end of the dock.
- Find the hidden underground mural room northeast of the Pokemon Center.
- Collect all 27 Mysterious Slates from Glowing Spots across all five areas.
- Place each slate in the mural to reveal Mew.
Empoleon, Crobat, and the full Piplup line call Withered Wasteland home. 15 Pokemon total that don't appear in any other area. Tap a card for spawn details and habitat requirements.
