Food plays a bigger role in Pokopia than you might expect. Eating cooked dishes restores PP and powers up specific moves, feeding raw ingredients to your Pokemon builds friendship, and the Mosslax altar delivers daily boosts based on flavor. Chef Dente teaches the cooking recipes through his quests, starting with a simple salad on the cutting board.
How Cooking Works#
- Gather raw ingredients from the world. Berries come from headbutting trees, crops from harvesting, mushrooms from caves, seaweed from the beach.
- Unlock cooking stations through Chef Dente's quest chain: Cutting Board (salads), Cooking Pot (soups), Bread Oven (bread), and Frying Pan (advanced dishes).
- Combine ingredients at the right station. Each recipe produces a dish that restores PP and powers up a specific move when eaten.
- Feed raw food to Pokemon for friendship gains. Different Pokemon prefer different flavors based on their Type and Personality.
Chef Dente teaches 24 recipes across four cooking stations. Each station produces dishes that power up a specific move. Certain recipes also require a Pokemon with a particular Specialty to help prepare the dish.
