The campfire is probably the first thing you'll craft. Two Sturdy Sticks and two Stones at the Workbench, then plop it down wherever you want. You'll still need a Burn Pokemon like Charmander to actually light it, though.
Steps#
- Gather materials: 1 Sturdy Stick and 1 Stone.
- Go to your Workbench and open the crafting menu.
- Find "Campfire" in the recipe list and craft it.
- Place the campfire in your desired location.
- To light it, lead a Pokemon with the Burn specialty (like Charmander) near the campfire.
- The Burn Pokemon will ignite it automatically.

Just 2 Sturdy Sticks and 2 Stones. Both drop from exploration in Withered Wasteland right from the start. Sturdy Sticks come from cutting wooden objects with the Cut move, and Stones drop from smashing rocks.
The campfire is your first cooking station. It handles basic recipes like Roasted Berries and Simple Stew. For better dishes you'll need to unlock Chef Dente's kitchen later. But early game, the campfire is enough to cook stat-boosting meals.
You need a Burn-specialty Pokemon to light it. Charmander is the obvious pick and shows up early. Once lit, the campfire stays burning. You don't need to relight it every time you cook.
