Trees in Pokopia come in five types: Large Tree, Berry Tree, Palm Tree, Pointy Tree, and Tree Stump. Use a Grow-specialty Pokemon to advance saplings through growth stages. Different tree types appear in different regions.

Steps#

  1. Get seeds by cutting existing trees, buying from the Pokemon Center, or as Pokemon gifts.
  2. Plant seeds on tilled soil (use Rototiller to prepare the ground).
  3. Water the planted seed with Water Gun to start growth.
  4. Lead a Grow-specialty Pokemon nearby to advance the growth stage. Grow speeds up trees but does not instantly complete them like flowers.
  5. Repeat until the tree is fully grown. Trees have multiple growth stages.
  6. Use Water Gun on dried-out tree stumps to restore them for berry harvesting.

Large Tree

The most common tree type. Found in starting Meadow areas. Used in 7 habitats including Tree-Shaded Tall Grass variants.

Berry Tree

Grows from berry seeds. Headbutt to harvest berries. Restore dried stumps with Water Gun.

Large Palm Tree

Found in Bleak Beach. Used in tropical habitats like Shaded Beach and Tropical Seaside.

Pointy Tree

Found in Rocky Ridges. Used in mountain habitats like Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass.

Tree Stump

Left behind after cutting a tree. Used in habitats like Lumberjack's Workplace.

Habitats That Need Trees

Switch between tree types to see which habitats need each one.

  • Trees grow in real time after a Grow-specialty Pokemon plants them. Small saplings appear right away, but Large Trees take a full in-game day to reach full size. You can speed things up by having multiple Grow Pokemon working the same area.

  • Grow plants trees and bushes. Litter spreads grass and ground cover. They're different specialties on different Pokemon. Bulbasaur has Grow, Bellsprout has Litter (and Grow on its second slot). You need both to build forest-type habitats that require trees AND grass.

  • Bulbasaur, Snivy, Bellsprout, and Oddish all have Grow. Bulbasaur and Snivy are the easiest to find early on in Withered Wasteland. Bellsprout pulls double duty with both Grow and Litter.
