Tinkagear is a late-game crafting material you get from Tinkmaster, a Tinkaton NPC. Bring him 2 Iron Ingots and he'll hand back 1 Tinkagear. That Tinkagear unlocks some of the strongest recipes in the game, so the conversion is worth it.

  3. Bring the Iron Ingots to Tinkmaster.

  • Tinkagear drops from urban habitats, especially Clink-Clang and Construction habitats. Pokemon with the Gather specialty can also find it in industrial areas. It's a special material that only the Tinkmaster NPC can convert.

  • Tinkmaster is an NPC who converts Tinkagear into Iron Ingots. He shows up in your base area after you've built a few metal structures. Think of him as a free iron source. Just bring him Tinkagear and he hands back ingots.

  • Absolutely. Iron Ingots are one of the most-used materials in the game, and Tinkagear is a free source that doesn't require ore mining or smelting. If you've got urban habitats running, you're generating passive Tinkagear.
