How to Unlock Chef Dente#
- Unlock Rocky Ridges by completing the Withered Wasteland story.
- Find Chef Dente trapped in a barrel hanging from the ceiling.
- Craft Simple Bread at a Bread Oven to upgrade your Cut move.
- Use upgraded Cut to slice the chain and free Chef Dente.
About Chef Dente#
A Greedent wearing a cooking pot on his head and covered in kitchen tools — a whisk, a pan, a ladle, and a spatula all tucked into his fur. You'll find him trapped in a barrel in Rocky Ridges, hanging from the ceiling by a chain. You can't free him with basic Cut — eat Bread first to upgrade the move, then cut the chain. Once freed, Chef Dente teaches you to cook and becomes the driving force behind the area's party quest.
Services#
Teaches Ditto cooking recipes using gathered ingredients. Each recipe type needs a specific station: Salad on a chopping board, Bread in a lit oven, Soup in a lit cooking pot, Hamburger Steak on a lit frying pan. Eating food restores PP and powers up the associated move. Food can also be gifted to Pokemon to raise comfort — each Pokemon has flavor preferences based on Type and Personality. Bring Chef Dente along while cooking for a chance at extra servings.

Eating the food restores PP for the associated move AND buffs that move's effect. Simple Salad buffs Leafage to grow 4 patches of tall grass at once. Two things. First, Chef Dente acts as executive chef for major town gatherings like the "Time to Party!" event. Second, when you bring Chef Dente as a follower while cooking, there's a chance you'll produce extra servings from the same ingredients.
Simple Salad buffs Leafage (4x tall grass growth). Simple Bread buffs Cut (extended range, breaks chains). Simple Soup buffs Water Gun (increased range). Hamburger Steak buffs Rock Smash (breaks normally unbreakable rocks, drops gold and iron ore). Curry is used for the Time to Party! story event.
