Zygarde Weakness
Type-wise, Zygarde takes extra damage from Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Watch out for Ice attacks, those deal 4x damage. Electric moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Zygarde's physical bulk (base 121 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Ice |
| 2x (Weak) | Dragon, Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Poison, Rock |
| 0x (Immune) | Electric |

This is Zygarde’s form when it has gathered 50% of its cells. It wipes out all those who oppose it, showing not a shred of mercy.
It’s thought to be monitoring the ecosystem. There are rumors that even greater power lies hidden within it.
Zygarde Sun & Moon Guide
In Sun & Moon, Zygarde is a Legendary Pokemon rated A-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a wall. Thousandarrows with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Sun & Moon, Zygarde's biggest threats include Weavile (Ice), Garchomp (Dragon), and Sylveon (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Weavile is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Zygarde has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Aura Break is the go-to ability for Zygarde. It makes dark aura and fairy aura weaken moves of their respective types. It's Zygarde's only ability.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Zygarde is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
In Sun & Moon, the best way to handle Zygarde: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
Game Availability
First obtainable in X & Y, Zygarde has been featured in 6 titles across 5 generations. Legendary status means a single encounter per playthrough in most games.
