Is Ursaring Good in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Playthrough?
Normal-type with massive Attack and AbilityGuts for status-boosted damage. Burns or poisons actually make it stronger. Handles anything that doesn't resist Normal, but the lack of type advantages holds it back at the E4.

USUM Ursaring Best Moveset
130 Attack with AbilityGuts boosting Attack by 50%% when statused, reaching an effective 195 when poisoned or burned. Normal TermStab at that power breaks through most targets. Ursaring Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
Ursaring is meant to evolve into Ursaluna. At 500 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Ursaring. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Guts increases Attack to 1.5× with a major status ailment. That's the one you want on Ursaring. Unnerve is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Quick Feet works too if your team needs something different.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Ursaring is a physical attacker with base 130 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, you can run Ursaring through the first few routes without issues. 500 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Ursaluna as fast as you can.
Game Availability
Obtainable through an item-based evolution, Ursaring appears in 17 titles across 9 generations since Gold & Silver. The evolution method adds a barrier that wild-catchable Pokemon don't have.
