Base Stats
Its large jaw has incredible destructive power. Some theories suggest that its restored form is different from its form of long ago.
Tyrunt is spoiled and selfish. It may just be trying to frolic, but sometimes the ones it’s trying to frolic with are gravely injured.
Tyrunt Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Tyrunt isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Tyrantrum to unlock its full potential. At 362 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Restore from a fossil at the Fossil Restoration Center on Route 8. Tyrunt is revived at level 5. Give it Rare Candies or experience-share if you want it ready for the late-game.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Run Strong Jaw on Tyrunt. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tyrunt also gets Sturdy, but they don't compare.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Tyrunt fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 89 Attack. Base 48 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
Game Availability
Introduced in X & Y, Tyrunt has appeared in 6 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
