Tyrantrum Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Strong Jaw changes the entire equation for Tyrantrum. The 521 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a wallbreaker. Head Smash with Choice Band is the standard set.
Strong Jaw is what you want on Tyrantrum. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Rock Head) work on paper but Strong Jaw is what makes Tyrantrum worth using. On wall sets, Strong Jaw pairs with Tyrantrum's base 119 Defense to absorb physical hits on the switch.
Base 71 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Tyrantrum is a physical attacker with base 121 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, run Head Smash, Dragon Dance, Fire Fang, and Earthquake on Tyrantrum. Head Smash is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
