Tropius Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Don't let Tropius's 460 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it C-Tier. Air Slash with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison) when using Tropius. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Black 2 & White 2, Run Chlorophyll on Tropius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tropius also gets Solar Power and Harvest, but they don't compare.
In Black 2 & White 2, Tropius fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 72 Sp. Atk. At base 51 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Black 2 & White 2, run Air Slash, Substitute, Leech Seed, and Whirlwind on Tropius. Air Slash is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
