Swadloon Black 2 & White 2 Guide
Swadloon is meant to evolve into Leavanny. At 380 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Aerodactyl (Flying), and Cloyster (Ice) when using Swadloon. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Arcanine is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Bug, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Chlorophyll is what you want on Swadloon. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Leaf Guard, Overcoat) work on paper but Chlorophyll is what makes Swadloon worth using.
Base 42 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Swadloon is a special attacker with base 50 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For Black 2 & White 2, you can run Swadloon through the first few routes without issues. 380 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Leavanny as fast as you can.
Game Availability
Swadloon joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
