Is Solgaleo Good in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Playthrough?
Psychic/Steel box legendary for Ultra Sun. Mandatory story catch during the Necrozma climax. Solgaleo fuses with Necrozma to become Dusk Mane Necrozma, then Ultra Necrozma in the story's hardest fight. After that, Solgaleo is yours to use for the E4. Steel resists Mina's Fairy and Molayne's own Steel, Psychic handles Hala. Usable immediately for the endgame.

Solgaleo's overall bulk (137/107/89) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Moves List
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Solgaleo's coverage across 9 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Sunsteel Strike and Iron Tail for same-type damage. Sunsteel Strike and Solar Beam are the payoff moves.

Base Stats
Sometimes the result of its opening an Ultra Wormhole is that energy and life-forms from other worlds are called here to this world.
In writings from the distant past, it’s called by the name “the beast that devours the sun.”
Solgaleo Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
For the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon meta, At 680 BST, Solgaleo is built different. We rank it S-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wallbreaker. Sunsteelstrike with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Golem (Ground), and Chandelure (Ghost) when using Solgaleo. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dark-type attackers are also a problem. Solgaleo has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Full Metal Body other Pokémon cannot lower this Pokémon's stats. That's the one you want on Solgaleo. It's the only ability Solgaleo has.
Solgaleo is a physical attacker with base 137 Attack. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 97 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the wallbreaker role.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Solgaleo has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Special attackers bypass its physical bulk.
Game Availability
Since Sun & Moon, Solgaleo has appeared in 4 games. Legendary Pokemon like Solgaleo are usually found through story events or special post-game areas rather than random encounters.
